Hi Earthlings!
the past few weeks have been pretty mundane. it was work, work and more work! ohgosh been working from 7am-9pm the last 2 weeks. yesyes i know im being exploited here but at least aft two whole weeks of OTs we're getting 5 days of paid leave!! and to tell the truth, those kids at my company are really funny+fun and my boss is a huuuge JOKE - not in the bad way, mind you, but she's just really hilarious and really crazy. she treated us to pizza, the whole team of near 20+ people! there are 24823 couples in my company including 24820 gay ones HAHA. okay to sum it all up work is really fun and even though i got to work till 9pm and wake up at 5am everyday it's well worth it cos time seriously pass by more quickly and it keeps me occupied while charles is away. come to think of it its quite a welcomed period even though it's super tiring cos charles went outfield on monday for a whole 8 days! so far my work allowed me to visit TKGS, BOWEN SEC, VJC, NYJC, IJ. coolshyt. and really it kind of made me realise that the food in both DHS and TJC is sooooooo bad compared to these other schools. and the school compounds too(the old DHS).
last friday went settlers with colleagues. it was crazeezeezee everyone got high on boardgames i had no idea whyy hahahaha but it really was hilarious! now ive got a settler's membership card + a complimentary freeflow package. settler's, anyone?
then on saturday charles booked out! slacked around my house for abit then we rushed over to chinatown just for MANGO SAGO! the place closes at 7.30 and we reached there after that but thankfully they hadnt closed yet. YAY. ordered mangosago, yam paste, ahboling haha that place is goooood man. and aft that it was dinner at Food Street in chinatown!! waited for a long long time while charles went to order all the food and he came back with soooo much food! dimsum, grilledprawns, satay oyster omelette. gosh im seriously growing faaaaat. and then we walked over to central. bought minidoughnuts those deepfried onee and then we sat at boat quay to enjoy our supper! just as we were making our way back we realised that fortcanning is so near so we explored it for abit! both of us bought this drink which comes with bottle strap and i made him sling it :) fun! it's back to school yaw!
on sun charles accompanied me to bishan to look for phoness. i need to get a new handphone cos my current one is rottingg and dying on me 24283 times a day!! but i dont particularly like any of the phones in the market right now. raah. and i only want sony ericsson!
then it was work! im slipping down the ranks again! hahah my short-lived glory of being second in the team =P somehow those on my call list just refuse to buy!! not my fault! thurs left early from work to meet shiggyztheungreat! shopped shopped shopped! damn long nvr see her luh!
and on friday it was off day!! they only told me on thurss! but they also told me that next week i'll only be working tues and wed! wheehee! so on friday afternoon met up with shigz again t explore chinatown followed by central! brought her to the nice dessert place and i found someth special for him.. first time im buying someth so expensive for a gift! didnt find anyth for myself and shigz couldnt find her beanie too! highlight of the day was this old woman who started chatting us up and offered to give us beaded bracelets + introducing his nephew to us! HAHA. interesting. at central i bought minidoughnuts yet again!! ate a few and decided to leave the rest for wynne, mich, sam, peiyen since i was running so late. and i bought this really cool sweet too! it's called 'sticky' and they made it on the spot. it's so so nice and colourful and i got to try the warm one which they had just made. yayyyyyy!
and then it was pre-vday celeb with the girls+peiyen(who can rightly be classified under 'The Girls' too =P). but dumb me didnt even realise tt it was a pre-vday celeb!!!! arhhhhhh. so all i had to offer was lousy minidoughnuts+sweets while sam bought us jacked-up-price roses and wynne bought each of us a mini soft toy from mini toons! i got some brown thing which looks like it's perpetually screaming. with sharp jagged teeth too! and the worst thing is tt.. it's supposed to bear resemblance to me. THANKS ARH WYNNE. and obviously mich was as dense as mee =X parallels drawn between my love rival and i. so later on we secretly carried out a mission to ease our guilty conscience! bought famous amos cookie lollipop thingy for the rest :)
had dinner at some verynicegoodfoodwithnicecutlery jap restaurant!!! it's freakin similar to azabu sabo i wonder who stole the concept from who - even the dishes on the menu are almost the same! but the ambience there is definitely goood. the only con is that it's super packed so there are many many people around. mich decided on omelette soba and peiyen decided on charsiew ramen right away. sam spent majority of the time deciding between beef bento and katsu bento.. sigh sometimes i really dont understand her.. her main concern abt the beef was whether the beef was THIN - and i swear she's really perturbed by it cos she even went to the extent of asking the poor waitress about this very important detail. HAHA. wynne ordered a slicedvegesoba after much deliberation between the SLICEDvege and MIXEDvege one. hahaha my weird friends!! and me??? i wanted the tempura soba initially but decided on seafoodcoldramen at last cos i wanted to make a comparison between the one served there and the one served at azabu. thank goodness the preparation time was short so we got our food pretty quickly aft we spent such a long time deciding on our order!! chit-chat for abit. yayy its good to see those girls+peiyen again :) and guess whaaat... WE TOOK NEOPRINTS! haha hilarious. practically had to drag peiyen and mich there. gosh! love love love these girls(okay peiyen i mian2 qiang3 include you here okay HAHA) who made my retainee life so much less boring!!! :D
while walking to my bus stop i decided to drop by bugis street for a while. i cant believe tt i cant find anyth to buy after being out for an entire day!!!! and my efforts were rewarded haha found this really nice and fitting polka dotted dress :) only thing is aft i bought it and tried it on at home i noticed a small defect! got to go get it changed.. rah.

and today i'll be spending vday at home rushing my vday present on top of the one i bought. hahaaa it's just as well that charles is booking out on thurs so i've got more time to make the present! woops! by the time i reached home every single day the last two weeks i was pretty much too drained to do anyth else! this morning i received a present delivered to me from charles :) prelude to the real celebration hur -- and smart me guessed the present kind of correctly... muahaha! havent heard from charles for a long long time since he's somewhere in the jungle fighting off wild boars and doesnt have his phone with him. i do hope he hasnt fallen in love with a wild boar yet! i'll cook it into porkchopzzzz.
and then on this day im reminded of all the past vdays i had. this is the first time im spending vday with the attached status and the first time im spending vday at home! of course i dont blame charles for it cos i know that whatever he does he's doing the best he can and anyth unfulfilled towards me can only be caused by the circumstances, not real intent on his part. love him! but i cant help but be reminded of the past few vdays spent with peiling and siwei and at times coded. hahaa still remember that we used to sit at orchard road lookin at all the couples go by and gossip abt them.. having a fun time on our own. kind of miss those days! i know that circumstances are changed now and many things are beyond us.. but i still do hope that our friendship can remain! love the both of u dearly. happy valentine's day!
and cheers to my longest-standing friendship with cheryl lim yujun. since pri3. must admit we're different in alot of sense but i know at the end of the day that i can always trust u with all my deepest and ugliest thoughts. we've really watched each other grow up. love you, happy valentines day!
And to each and every single one of my friend reading this.. i really treasure every lil friendship that ive shared with you guys however insignificant it may seem. Although i know at times we dont get to keep in contact much cos each one of us has got different priorities in life now, im still thankful for all the memories. so many friends walked in and out of my life for the past 19 years.. it's so sad to adopt the notion that it's almost impossible t keep every single friendship that ive had. sigh. tts just how things work i guess. Hope you'll all enjoy this meaningful day!! Many loves!
